The Greater Seattle Chapter of The Studebaker Drivers Club
Here's a listing of upcoming events.

Don Andersen and I want to bring everyone up to date on the Chapter elections held during the January meeting. Only seven members in attendance and unfortunately, we were unable to elect a President and Vice President for the club. Don has agreed to remain as Chapter Secretary, and I have agreed to remain as Chapter Treasurer.

Unable to elect a President and Vice President, the remainder of the meeting was focused on how to maintain the Seattle Chapter or not. There was a motion to fold the Chapter after we couldn’t complete the officer elections. However, Don did not want to do that, at least not until all members have had a chance to tell us their feelings on this issue. So, our February meeting will be used for the sole purpose of hearing what you think. That meeting will be at the Durkees home on Saturday, February 22nd at 1:00pm. Their address is: 14810 SE Jones Pl., Renton 98058. Phone is 425-351-2627.

Greetings to fellow car clubs in this new year!
It is time again for another great Tulip Rallye! Come join the fun on April 26th!
The annual Tulip Rallye is a fun event put on by the MG car club and has become a must do spring event for car enthusiasts who truly enjoy the thrill of driving on country roads with other like-minded car hobbyists!
The 42nd Tulip Rallye is a casual gimmick rallye where the challenge is to spot and record the answers to questions based on signs and objects found along the way while following turn-by-turn route driving instructions devilishly laid out by the Rallyemaster, whose job it is to make you laugh as you drive on public, paved roads that are suitable for all vehicles and driver skill levels. Note: The Tulip Rallye is not a time and distance type rallye.
Pre-registration will be $25 for the event and $35 for day of the show. Registration will open in late February on the MG Car Club website at mgccnwc.com/tulip-rallye/
As in past years, the Tulip Rallye features a charitable organization to support. This year the Rallye is again supporting Food Lifeline, a charitable food bank that distributes food throughout the region.
The Planning Committee is asking participants to contribute $5 towards Food Lifeline during their registration process rather than bringing canned foods to the event. The logic behind this request is that food banks can stretch a dollar further by buying in bulk, thus being able to serve more folks in need.
In addition to having fun on some great routes this year, the Tesla club will be sharing their synchronized car light show at the end of the rallye for everyone to enjoy. A few of us saw a sampling at the end of last years rallye and it was impressive! We think everyone will enjoy this addition.
While the Planning Committee has tried to send this email to the correct contact person in your club. If we have missed our mark, please forward it to the correct contact person, club magazine editor, tour coordinator, or club members if you would not mind doing us a favor and send us back a correction if you would.
Questions should be directed to the Rallye Master, at: tuliprallyemaster@mgccnwc.com.
Check In: 8:00-9:00am...Drivers Meeting will be at 9:30am and the First Car Out goes at 10:00am
The location: WalMart SuperCenter, Exit 227, Mt. Vernon WA, Saturday, April 26th.
